APA Running Head | Example + Instructions for Word & Docs

A running head is a shortened version of your paper’s title, included in the header along with the page number. According to APA 7th edition guidelines, the running head is required only for professional manuscripts intended for publication. Student papers typically do not require a running head unless specified by the instructor.
